Opening for the 56th time, this show acted as the perfect platform to not only showcase some of the world’s finest yachts, but for exhibitors to debut new projects and ideas to a legion of qualified buyers in a market offering nothing but exciting activity.
It’s a truth universally acknowledged that the American market has arrived at an exciting phase of recovery. To get an idea of exactly how the influx of demand for new-build is taking shape, we spoke to a brand whose renewed strength is following the upward trend of growth in the United States.
During the 2015 Fort Lauderdale Boat Show, Heesen Yachts launched a new project aimed specifically at the American market dubbed Project Nina. The inception of this project, combined with a new Fort Lauderdale office, perfectly surmised the growing focus on the U.S. market. We sat down with Mark Cavendish and Thom Conboy to discuss these new projects, as well as the attraction of a European brand to American owners.
