118m Abeking Superyacht Celerius Spotted on Sea Trials
Abeking & Rasmussen's 118-metre superyacht 'Celerius' was spotted on sea trials earlier this week.
Hull Abeking h 6507 is the largest motor yacht ever built by the shipyard. It supersedes the 98.4-metre Aviva, which was delivered by the shipyard in 2017, by almost 20 metres.
The yacht hit the water for the first time in mid-December and had her masts stepped shortly after. Since then, the vessel appears to have undergone major changes.
New features appear to include a large swimming pool on the aft deck, along with a spacious Beach Club and Neptune lounge, a feature which proved to be immensely popular on the shipyard's award-winning 74.5-metre M'Brace, previously known as Elandess. A helipad can also be found aft and her toy locker is expected to include a personal submarine for the owner.
Her builder completed her naval architecture, while her exterior and interior were penned by Joseph Dirand Architecture, a shore-based designer whose yachting portfolio boasts the first 260-metre Otam 85 GTS Cara Montana. The yacht's owner is said to be represented by Cornelsen & Partner, and has been consistenty throughout Celerius' construction process.
Project Celerius is now considered to be amongst some of the largest yachts in the world, including Feadship's in-build Project 1010.
