140m Explorer Project Solaris Ready to Launch

By Jenna Mehdi

The highly anticipated 140m mega explorer yacht Project Solaris has been spotted as she nears launch at Lloyd Werft’s Bremerhaven facilities. The above images, provided courtesy of Dr Duu, illustrate the epic scale of this unprecedented luxury explorer project.

Best known for the construction of 114m LUNA, Lloyd Werft has started 2021 on a high with the largest motor yacht launch of the year (research and explorer vessel REV notwithstanding). The initial images expose Project Solaris’ eight incredible decks, helipad and formidable explorer profile. Renderings released by the yard suggest Solaris will sport a blue hull and white superstructure when the megayacht is delivered.

Lloyd Werft has been teasing the industry with a series of jaw-dropping facts about its latest new build ahead of the launch. If stats such as her 11,085 metres squared of deck space, 562km of cables onboard and the highest installed propulsion power in pods of any private yacht to date don’t illustrate her incredible scale, then the latest images certainly do.

We at Superyachts.com look forward to bringing you more updates on this monumental launch as it happens.
