24 Hours at Marina Moll Vell: The PIBS 2026 Guide

By Sophia Spanton

Anyone who's been to a major boat show knows the drill; you arrive with a plan, blink twice, and suddenly it's 6pm and you've covered about a third of what you meant to. With 300+ vessels on the water at this year's Palma International Boat Show, we've mapped out how to actually make a 24-hour visit worth your while.

The Superyacht Village (SY11 Area)
Start here. This is the premium end of the show: a curated lineup of yachts over 24 metres, all available for sale or charter through some of the world's best brokers. Once you've done a lap, duck into Superyacht Square for crew services and a look at what the newer companies in the space are doing, then wander next door into the Refit and Repair Zone. Specialist yards are out in force showing their maintenance work and with Palma's cathedral sitting right behind you, it's honestly a pretty good backdrop for closing a deal.

The Shipyard and Equipment Zone
Keep walking into the docks and you'll hit the tech-heavy section, yachts up to 35 metres alongside the builders and suppliers who keep the industry moving. Navigation systems, new propulsion setups, onboard innovations, it's all here, properly demoed rather than just on a stand. Captains and owners with a specific upgrade in mind will want to spend time here.

The Superyacht New Build Hub
This one requires a bit of forward planning, it's invite-only and over at Marina Port de Mallorca, so either walk or grab the shuttle. It's where the big shipyards, naval architects and design houses bring out their new-build projects over 35 metres: scale models, VR walkthroughs, the works. If you're thinking about a future commission, or just want a read on where the Med season is heading, it's worth the trip.

Moll Vell Promenade and Dockside Essentials
At some point, take a breath. The promenade along the bay, cathedral in the background, boats in the foreground, is genuinely one of the nicest settings any boat show has to offer. Grab a seafood lunch or a coffee, let the conversation happen naturally. Some of the best connections at PIBS get made on a dockside wander rather than at a stand. As the afternoon winds down, stick around for broker conversations at golden hour, then head 15 minutes into Santa Catalina for aperitifs in the Old Town.

Brokerage and Insider Hotspots
If you've got time for one focused detour, make it the SY11 stands, they are worth a proper look for access to 50-metre-plus brokerage listings. And download the official PIBS app before you arrive: maps, schedule updates and any last-minute talks that pop up will save you a lot of time.

Late-Night Instagram Shots
For the end of the day, El Llorenç Parc de la Mar sits right next to the docks and has become something of an unofficial after-show spot. The rooftop gives you yacht-and-cathedral views that do most of the work for you, a botanical gin-tonic up there with the right crowd is a solid way to close out a long day. Tag it #PIBS2026 and call it a wrap.
