34m Van der Valk M/Y Blue Jeans Delivered

By Heather Collier

Van der Valk shipyard has officially announced the delivery of their 33.74-metre motor yacht Blue Jeans.

Blue Jeans represents another impressive milestone for Van der Valk as its third largest build, whilst also remaining one of its most complex, custom projects to date. She was most recently spotted passing through the River Thames in London, beneath the iconic London Bridge en route to her new owners.

This stunning blue vessel, sporting a unique, blue metallic hull, was carefully designed with socialising and entertainment in mind by Guido de Groot Design, while Diana Yacht Design penned her naval architecture.

Key highlights of her exterior include her sleek profile with sharp styling elements, all closely aligned with a desire for high ceilings.

Blue Jeans' anchors are hidden within an imposing raised bow, an arrangement which frees up space on the foredeck for an extra chill-out zone. A pop-up table will be receded flush into the deck and, when raised, guests can sit with their legs inside the vacated space.

With grand ceilings almost 2.5m in height and panoramic glass for enhanced views, her interior spaces provide guests with a calming atmosphere and scenery, combined with Northern European and Asian inspired decor.

Eye-catching palettes of metals and woods, such as liquid metal and copper walls and teak slats for the walls and ceilings offer a timeless feel that will never age. Everything is of the highest quality possible, including a fine selection of natural stones, marble and semi-precious stones.

Her spacious lounge features a bar, three seating zones and a forward dining area with a capstan table that can double as a games table. There will be a sophisticated master on the lower deck plus a VIP suite and two guest cabins. The tender will be placed sideways in her own large garage, creating the room for an expansive engine room.

Powered by twin 2,600 horsepower MTU engines, she boasts an impressive top speed of 28 knots and cruising speed of 22.4 knots.

"Building a bespoke boat for clients who know exactly what they desire is a pleasure and a privilege," says the shipyard.

We look forward to seeing Blue Jeans take to the water once again as she relishes in the company of her new owners.
