90m UP.STARS Showcases Gloss Design’s Architectural Ambition
As Gloss Design unveils their 90-metre superyacht concept UP.STARS, she signals a shift towards a more architectural, experience-driven approach to life at sea. Rather than relying on visual theatrics, the concept is positioned as a disciplined exploration of space, privacy and proportion, setting out to evolve how owners inhabit their yachts.
Visually, UP.STARS makes a powerful first impression. Her long, uninterrupted decks, compact superstructures and taut proportions combine to create a distinctly masculine silhouette, assertive yet refined, projecting controlled strength rather than ornamentation. It is a profile shaped by intent, where every line carries both aesthetic and functional purpose.
Life on board is organised into three clearly defined zones. Forward, a powerful architectural volume houses the Owner’s Deck, conceived as a private sanctuary entirely separated from guest circulation. The forward-facing suite opens onto a dedicated outdoor terrace with jacuzzi, sunbathing areas and direct helipad access, offering panoramic views and exceptional privacy.
Midships, expansive glazing floods a full-beam, double-height lobby with natural light, forming the spatial heart of the yacht and reinforcing a seamless relationship between interior and exterior spaces.
Towards the stern, UP.STARS opens dramatically to the sea. The aft deck becomes a social hub, centred around an open layout with a large swimming pool and cascading waterfall effect. Above, the sundeck offers a jacuzzi, bar, sunbathing areas and outdoor dining, while a fully equipped beach club with direct sea access completes the lifestyle-focused design.
According to Stefano Carugno, Founder and Design Director of Gloss Design, the concept is driven by simplified lines, balanced volumes and a human-centred approach, with the Owner’s space forming the architectural core of the yacht.
With her clear spatial hierarchy and measured confidence, UP.STARS presents a rational and forward-looking interpretation of contemporary superyacht living, where architecture, privacy and lifestyle are seamlessly aligned.
