A 'Made in Italy' Marvel: Riva Launches Third Unit of 50Metri

By Emily Dawkins

Italian shipyard and brand of Ferretti Group Riva Superyachts Division has launched the third unit in its 'Made in Italy' marvel model, the 50m 50Metri. The third, and highly anticipated vessel from the series hit the water in Ancona over the weekend, impressing the industry as yet another example of Riva’s elegant superyacht builds.

Designed by renowned Officina Italiana Design in collaboration with the Strategic Product Committee led by Piero Ferrari and the Ferretti Group Engineering Department, the Riva 50Metri embodies the essence of true Italian excellence. This remarkable vessel pays homage to Riva's iconic 'Caravelle' and 'Atlantic' motor yacht series' whilst seamlessly blending the yard's timeless stylistic features with cutting-edge technology.

Boasting a steel displacement hull and an aluminium superstructure, the Riva 50Metri spans five decks with an impressive maximum beam of 9m. Accommodating up to 10 guests and nine crew members, this Riva motor yacht offers a stylish, spacious and luxurious retreat on the open waters.

Her sleek profile is characterised by three horizontal bands that gracefully extend from stern to bow. Complemented by a metallic silver livery, her final look is that of a dynamic and captivating aesthetic. Touches of steel, glass and mahogany harmoniously blend timeless Italian trademarks with ultramodern design.

Built for a repeat Riva owner, every aspect of the Riva 50Metri has been meticulously crafted to provide the utmost comfort and enjoyment onboard, with her seamless indoor-outdoor integration offering expansive areas for relaxation and entertainment for any occasion. Polished steel finishes and a tasteful mix of cool tones inside add to the sense of harmony throughout.

A notable highlight onboard is the 120sqm sundeck. Here, guests can indulge in unparalleled comfort, whether basking in the sun on generous sunbathing pads, dining around the barbecue-equipped table, lounging on plush sofas watching the pop-up TV, or relaxing in the exquisite hydromassage pool.

Alongside the launch of the third Riva 50Metri, the Italian yard continues to work on the Riva 54Metri, the brand's largest and most recent project, slated for delivery in 2025.

With its unrivalled beauty, unparalleled craftsmanship and innovative features, this 'Made in Italy marvel’ is none other than its nickname suggests.
