Admiral Gains Momentum and Sells Second 82m GALILEO Hull
The Italian Sea Group has confirmed the sale of the second hull in its 82-metre Admiral Galileo series, reinforcing strong market confidence in the high-volume platform as construction of the first unit continues in Italy.
The Italian Sea Group has secured a new-build agreement for an 82.7-metre Admiral superyacht from its Galileo series, with delivery scheduled for 2030. The project, known as Project GALILEO, was sold through Ocean Independence, with broker Anton Foord representing the buyer throughout the transaction.
The latest contract reflects growing confidence in the Admiral 82 platform, which is currently represented by a sistership already under construction at TISG’s Marina di Carrara facility. That first unit is progressing through the outfitting stage, highlighting the series’ transition from concept to an established large-yacht programme.
Peter Hürzeler, CEO of Ocean Independence, commented:
'This yacht is one of the biggest new builds sold by Ocean Independence to date, and I would like to thank the client for trusting our expertise. We are very much looking forward to the start of construction and, of course, to the delivery of this extraordinary yacht in 2030.'
Designed and engineered by The Italian Sea Group, the steel and aluminium yacht showcases exterior styling by Centro Stile TISG, defined by elongated lines, extensive glazing and a strong emphasis on outdoor living. Interior design has been entrusted to Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design, who will develop a contemporary interior concept across six decks.
With a beam of 14 metres and a gross tonnage of approximately 2,200 GT, the Admiral 82 offers accommodation for up to 14 guests. The main deck houses four guest suites and two VIP cabins, while the upper deck is reserved entirely for the owner and incorporates a private lounge and gym. An elevator serves four guest decks, supporting efficient circulation throughout the yacht.
Outdoor amenities include a substantial beach club with fold-down terraces, a large aft swimming pool aft on the main deck, and multiple entertainment spaces designed to suit both private cruising and charter operations.
The contract further consolidates the Admiral 82 as a proven large-yacht platform, with repeat interest emerging as the first unit advances through construction. As owners continue to favour established series with scope for personalisation and long-term value retention, GALILEO is shaping up as a key reference point within The Italian Sea Group’s expanding large-yacht portfolio.
