Ahoy Club & George Calombaris Set Sydney Abuzz: Gazi Goes Land and Sea
Sydney’s social calendar is about to be redefined, as Ahoy Club partners with award-winning chef and restaurateur George Calombaris for an event unlike any other. Launching this August is 'Gazi Goes Land and Sea' which promises an indulgent progression from city-side brunch to luxury yacht cruise; a day designed for those who appreciate the finer things in life, from exceptional cuisine to harbourfront opulence.
At the heart of this collaboration is a shared love of good food, good company, and Sydney’s unmistakable sense of place. The day begins at GAZI, George Calombaris’s vibrant new Darlinghurst restaurant. Known to many as a former MasterChef judge and one of Australia’s most recognisable chefs, Calombaris brings both pedigree and personality to the table. Inspired by the energy of modern Athens and the ease of Sydney dining, the menu offers what Calombaris calls 'mood food' which features a fresh, flavourful selection of dishes designed to lift the spirits and set the tone for the hours ahead.
From the table, the journey continues waterside. Guests are transported to Double Bay Wharf, where BLUESTONE, a sleek 31-metre Gulf Craft superyacht from the Ahoy Club fleet, awaits. With the city skyline as a backdrop and the breeze off the harbour, the experience slips effortlessly into its next chapter: a languid three-hour cruise with free-flowing wine, beer, champagne and cocktails, and a menu tailored by Calombaris to match the mood on board.
Held over just two Saturdays, 16 and 23 August, this is a limited opportunity to experience one of the year’s most distinctive events. Priced at $385 per person, each ticket includes the full brunch-to-boat experience: from vibrant mezze and bottomless bubbles to harbour vistas and house beats.
For Calombaris, who has recently made Sydney home, the event captures something essential: 'To feed people delicious food here at GAZI, then put them aboard one of the most incredible boats you’ll ever see, and cruise around one of the most amazing harbours' he says 'What a great opportunity to fuse both land and sea.'
Gazi Goes Land and Sea is a day designed to linger in the memory, where Greek hospitality meets Sydney elegance, and the line between dining and experience disappears entirely.
"What a great opportunity to fuse both land and sea - a brunch connected with a cruise on one of the most picturesque harbours in the world."
