ALFA Relaunches in Style: Benetti’s 70m Masterpiece Returns After Full Refit
The 70-metre Benetti superyacht ALFA has made a triumphant return to the water following a comprehensive refit, expertly coordinated by Ocean Independence and carried out by Lusben, the refit division of the Azimut, Benetti Group. Launched in 2020 and instantly recognised for her sculptural lines and bold presence, ALFA now emerges with a renewed spirit and contemporary elegance.
Entrusted to Lusben by her owner, ALFA’s refit was a meticulous process, touching every aspect of her design and engineering. The project included a full repaint of her hull and owner deck, advanced protective coatings, and a complete overhaul of her technical systems as part of her five-year survey. Mechanical upgrades ranged from new software for the forward crane to the redesign of her bollards and the optimisation of her beach platform, enhancing both functionality and style.
The most striking transformation, however, is found within her interiors. Mark Berryman Design has curated a fresh and inviting atmosphere, reimagining the main deck with bespoke furnishings, marble-clad tables featuring integrated fire pits, and playful touches such as custom poufs with built-in chessboards. The master suite has been elevated with a new headboard, refined finishes, and redesigned cabinetry, while hospitality spaces now boast four custom bars, including a teppanyaki bar on the skydeck, and a dramatic, glass-fronted wine cellar along the portside corridor.
ALFA’s galley has also been entirely reconfigured, ensuring seamless service for guests, and new lighting elements, including a backlit nameplate, add a final flourish to her revitalised look.
Now relaunched and ready for her next chapter, ALFA joins the charter market with Ocean Independence, available this summer in the Mediterranean. With her blend of technical prowess, timeless design and renewed interiors, she promises unforgettable moments for all who step aboard.
