Alia Yachts Lays Keel of New 60m Custom Superyacht

Turkish shipyard Alia Yachts has announced the completion of a major construction milestone for its newest superyacht project. At an intimate ceremony at the builder’s Antalya facilities in March, the keel of the new 60m vessel was laid.

Following the successful delivery of the groundbreaking 55m Al Waab last year which features outstanding exterior design by Dutch studio Vripack Yacht Design, Alia Yachts has announced the start of the construction for its next impressive superyacht.

Expected to be 60m in length and over 1,000 GT, the yard has once again partnered with Vripack to create another innovative and eye-catching vessel. This talented repeated build team also includes the project management of GCC-based SF Yachts.

The new 60m has been commissioned for an experienced owner, who is looking to ‘expand his horizons’, and embark on travels around the world with his family. With this initiative at the forefront of the vessel’s design, it offers expansive exterior and interior space perfect for families, and boasts several practical yet luxurious amenities: spacious lower-deck beach club, massage room, dive store, steam shower, gym and a relaxation zone. For ease of movement across all decks, the 60m also boasts a handy internal lift.

Inside, luxurious accommodation for 12 guests is spread across six generous guest cabins: four VIP suites with double beds, and two spacious twins. A lavish master stateroom is located on the upper deck, which boasts a grand walk-in wardrobe, dedicated owner’s lounge as well as a private foredeck for enjoying the scenic views during cruising.

With a look similar to that of 55m Al Waab, the new vessel also features semi-transparent side panels to produce both a wind-protected area, as well as a magnificent sense of connection to the water for her guests.

President of Alia Yachts, Gökhan Çelik, commented on the successful construction milestone: ‘Following the footsteps of Al Waab, we are happy to mark the ceremonial keel laying for this bigger project of over 1.000 gross tons and huge exterior spaces. With a reputation for bespoke, custom yachts and not being a mass builder, every custom yacht we deliver represents the unique vision of the owner and this project is another source of pride for us. The owner and his family have some incredible travel plans on the horizon and we feel honoured to be trusted to make this into a reality for him.’

We would like to congratulate Alia Yachts and all those involved on the start of this exciting construction, and we look forward to hearing more news about the project soon.
