Amels 180 GRACE Returns to Amels for Refit

Delivered in 2009, GRACE is part of the successful Amels 180 line which actually originated with the Amels 171. Evolving over the course of 15 years and 25 yachts delivered, GRACE has returned to her original yard to ensure she is in safe hands for the months ahead. 

Damen Yachting Sales Manager Michael Coens was working at the yard during the yacht’s original build. He comments, ‘It’s wonderful to see GRACE back at the yard. Being able to welcome yachts and their crew from the fleet back to our yard is always a great honour. There is a real sense of pride in welcoming back one of our own and also having the opportunity to once again shape a yacht to the Owner’s wishes.’

GRACE, who is one of six of the original Amels 171 designs, sports an elegant Tim Heywood exterior. Her interior design is crafted by Italian studio Nuvolari & Lenard, with naval architecture by Damen Yachting’s in-house team.  

GRACE’s Owner and crew know they are in ‘safe and experienced hands’ at Damen, Michael Coens adds. ‘The entire team knows the yacht inside out which is a big advantage. But, as always, the most important elements remain the genuine partnership and strong teamwork with the Owner’s team, the crew and our subcontractors.’
