Amels Reveals Exciting Lineup For MYS ‘22

By Emily Dawkins

Damen Yachting has today confirmed Amels’ show-stopping lineup for the 2022 Monaco Yacht Show (MYS). A trio of the yard’s spectacular, brand-new superyachts will be on exhibition across the four days, making their world debut to the crowds at Monaco and joining the already impressive collection of superyachts at MYS this year.

For Damen Yachting and Amels, 2022 has been an incredible year so far. With several successful deliveries added to their fleet, and the jaw-dropping unveiling of its largest Limited Editions superyacht range to date, it seems only fitting that the MYS will be the stage for a trio of Dutch-built debuts.

The yard has revealed which of its innovative superyachts it will be taking to Monaco for the first time this year, with a trio made up of: the first Amels 60, 60m M/Y COME TOGETHER; the latest and exclusive Amels Full Custom, 78m M/Y ENERGY; and the award-winning largest Amels Refit to date, 89m M/Y HERE COMES THE SUN.

60m COME TOGETHER

The first superyacht from the new generation of Amels 60 Limited Editions, 60m COME TOGETHER is certainly eye-catching in the water. Delivered to her owner this Spring, the vessel boasts a timeless Espen Øino exterior design that is adorned with geometric shapes and sleek lines. Her custom interiors offer a relaxed and natural atmosphere, penned by Winch Design.

COME TOGETHER is fitted with innovative hybrid power and propulsion technology: an icon of the sought-after Amels Limited Editions DNA and designed for the future. Since her delivery this year, the 60m vessel has seen bounds of success on the charter market, with her first season in the Mediterranean.

78m ENERGY

78m ENERGY marks yet another first for the yard. Revealed to the world in July, the Full Custom Amels superyacht is yet another eye-catching spectacle from the drawing board of Espen Øino. With a strong profile finished in bright white, ENERGY demands the attention of those around her. Her custom interior design was completed by Zuretti Interior Designers.

ENERGY’S appearance at this year’s MYS marks a complete circle of life, as her project began there with her sale confirmed during the 2017 show.

89m HERE COMES THE SUN

In 2021, HERE COMES THE SUN set sail from Damen’s Vlissingen facilities after undergoing a complex and extensive refit for her new owner. Included in her extensive list of works was a 6m extension to increase her size to 89m, and an increase in her volume from 2827 to 2977 GT. HERE COMES THE SUN also benefited from layout modifications, additional VIP accommodation and a full respray with colour change.

Originally delivered to her owner in 2017, HERE COMES THE SUN headed back to the Dutch shipyard in 2020 under her new ownership to complete her year’s refit. Azure Yacht Design, the yard's original partner for naval architecture, was appointed by the new owner to refresh this iconic Amels.

Alongside its superyacht debuts, Amels will also be displaying a range of innovative luxury yachting solutions at its stand at J6 T-Central. Members of the experienced Amels team will also be available to introduce the yard's latest designs.

We’re certainly looking forward to seeing this impressive Amels trio make their debuts at Monaco this year, where we’ll be bringing you the latest from the show.
