AMK Architecture & Design Unveils The Real Beach

By Nora Hart

AMK Architecture & Design has introduced The Real Beach, a 95-metre concept yacht that brings the experience of the shoreline directly onboard. Newly revealed in April, The Real Beach marks a shift in how luxury yachts can engage with their natural surroundings.

Rather than a traditional aft-deck beach club, The Real Beach becomes an architectural and sensory extension of the natural world. Drawing from the serene geometry of coastal landscapes, AMK has created a multi-layered outdoor space that allows guests to feel not just close to the sea, but immersed in it.

At its core is a gently contoured, organically shaped pool that mimics a natural shoreline, inviting guests to step in as they would on a beach. This is surrounded by AMK’s signature “sand carpet,” a sustainable and tactile alternative to teak decking that recreates the sensation of walking on warm, sunlit dunes.

A sculpted bar forms the heart of the space, functioning as a natural social hub from day to night. Thoughtful integration of greenery, ambient lighting, and open spatial flow enhances the connection to nature, promoting relaxation and slow living, a key philosophy behind the design.

Sustainability is woven into every aspect of The Real Beach, from the early design stages to material selection. The use of low-impact resources such as reclaimed wood, plant-based composites, and natural stone, is paired with strategies like passive ventilation to create a space that embodies ecological mindfulness without compromising on luxury.

By blurring the line between yacht and environment, AMK's vision delivers a compelling new definition of sustainable luxury. The Real Beach doesn’t just bring the beach onboard, it entirely reimagines living at sea.
