Antonini Navi Delivers 56m Hull & Superstructure

By Jenna Mehdi

Launched last year by Gruppo Antonini in La Spezia, fledgling shipyard Antonini Navi has recorded ‘an excellent year’ after the delivery of three superyachts units between 30 to 58m in length.

Antonini Navi, who secured a contract to build five units up to 58m in length, has confirmed in a statement that it was contracted by various well-known Italian shipyards for the deliveries. Making use of its sizable resources and membership of Gruppo Antonini Spa - whose annual turnover is in excess of 100 million euros -  Antonini Navi has already been able to make a name for itself in the industry just one year after the yard was established.

Three of the five contracted units have already been delivered, the latest measuring 56m in length, with the final two nearing completion. Refit work is also ongoing, with seven routine and special maintenance projects completed since the yard opened its doors, and three currently in progress.

Drawing on the experience of over 250 people, prime real estate in the strategic Gulf of La Spezia, over 33,000 square metres and two industrial sheds, Antonini Navi has quickly become a go-to port of call for industry players who choose to contract out the earlier stages of construction.

The yard also specialises in full custom superyachts, having released plans last year for a range of explorer and crossover yachts drawn in collaboration with Italian architect Fulvio de Simoni. The first Crossover Unit of the UP40 range is currently being built on spec.
