Arksen Launches Brand New Adventure Series

By Heather Collier

Arksen, the innovative British builder, has announced the expansion of its entourage with the Adventure Series, enabling the most fulfilling and thrilling home adventure with all the comforts you might find on a larger yacht.

Arksen has quickly built itself a reputation in crafting larger expedition and explorer yachts, with models now reaching up to 85 feet.

For its two new smaller models, Arksen has formed a partnership with XO Boats, the Finnish yacht specialist that makes rugged go-anywhere vessels with military-grade aluminium. The boats have distinctive deep-V hulls for offshore performance, and are powered by twin outboards.

The 28 is designed for day trips and weekend excursions, often in less-than-ideal conditions. At 8.57m in length, it can host up to 8 passengers, with 1 day bed. Guests will also find their own pantry unit and toilet, providing you with all the facilities you’ll need for your adventure, wherever it may take you.

The 28 has a cruising speed of 25 knots and a maximum speed of 40 knots, with 360 views from the saloon and helm station that offer stunning panoramic, all-encompassing views on your journey to your chosen destination.

The 30, with sleeping accommodations for four, plus two more in an optional “canvas sleep pod,” is for those who intend to spend more time on board during their journey. At 9.5m, it can accommodate up to 10 passengers, and bears the same speed as the 28.

The 30 also boasts quality cooking facilities with plentiful storage space for a variety of gear, ensuring you are prepared for the day ahead after a comfortable sleep.

Tough and robust exteriors contrast with a soft, tactile interior design with immense storage space, offering a slick, stylish aesthetic whilst still remaining practical and durable.

"We are delighted to partner with Arksen, who not only consider performance, safety and on-board amenities as a priority, but also the environmental impact of the vessels; a vital factor that is sadly often overlooked," says Erkki Talvela, CEO of XO Boats.

XO leads with the firm belief that design should be focused on function, with both vessels well-equipped and compact enough for tender use. Each is ideal in supporting leisure, research and commercial voyages by either operating as a tender or chase boat; offering a safe and comfortable ride, even in challenging conditions.

Both vessels are designed to demonstrate efficient support, both for private recreation and entertainment with family and friends, but equally can also be used for assistance in expeditions and scientific research – allowing you to reach areas that your yacht cannot.

“With this collaboration, we reach more customers who require these sporty deep-v hull yachts, and we can provide XO fans with more wide varieties with these model ranges,” Talvela adds.

“The Adventure Syndicate is designed to provide you with all the good bits of boat ownership, but without the hassle and frustration of paying to own all of a boat that you may not be able to make full use of.” comments Dominic Bryne, Sales & Marketing Director at Arksen.

“The latest models are designed to provide owners the experience of voyages that can discover hidden coves, city explorations by water and island hopping galore. We’re thrilled to collaborate with XO Boats, who come with excellent experience with ‘any condition’ vessels, which ties into Arksen perfectly.”

You can see both vessels in all of their glory at the Southampton International Boat Show between the 16th and 25th of September, on stand M227.
