Azimut to Host Private Boat Show in Florida

By George Bains

Azimut Yachts will hold an exclusive Private Boat Show for the brand’s customers and friends at Pompano Beach in Florida from 12th to 14th February. 14 Azimut models will be on display, including the Magellano 25 Metri and Azimut 78 Fly, while there will also be a digital introduction of the brand-new Verve 42.

The staging of this event underlines Azimut Yachts’ commitment to direct contact with its clients, with the Private Boat Show filling the gap left by this year’s Miami Yacht Show. The event aims to offer Azimut’s American-based clientele another chance to get up close and personal with fourteen of the brand’s best-known models in the privacy and safety of a show that complies with all anti-Covid regulations.

Federico Ferrante, President of Azimut Benetti Americas, explained: “We’ve organised this international event to tap into the opportunities of a vibrant market that sees recreational boating as a valid alternative to travel. Spending leisure time on a yacht contributes to be a great way to be with your nearest and dearest, surrounded by nature and in a totally safe setting.”

The Magellano 25 Metri will be one of the stars of the show, labelled the ‘flagship of all flagships’ and a statement of Azimut’s innovative prowess both in terms of design and technology. A sophisticated and accommodating yacht, the model has been a huge success in Europe and, since debuting in Fort Lauderdale, has been similarly received in the USA. The Magellano 25 Metri is the fruit of a design collaboration between two renowned names in Vincenzo De Cotiis and Ken Freivokh, the former responsible for the interior design while the latter penned the exterior profile.

The digital introduction of the Verve 42 is in keeping with Azimut Yachts’ outside the box style. The latest addition to the Verve range, Verve 42 features design by Francesco Struglia on a stepped hull by Michael Peters. The yacht promises to revolutionise its segment, powered by a Mercury Racing 450 HP triple propulsion system. The Pompano Beach Boat Show will be offer its guests the first ever glimpse of the yacht, and orders can be placed during and after the event.

The Boat Show will also provide the opportunity to view a number of yachts in the Fly Collection, from the 50 up to the largest model, the 78 Fly. The Atlantis Collection will be represented by the 45, while S6 and S7 will fly the flag for the sporty S Collection. The Magellano 66 and Verve 40, along with the 25 and 27 Metri, will also be on display.
