Benetti Launches Second B.Now 50m Oasis Deck ALUNYA

Michael White and David Westwood introduced the buyer and oversaw ALUNYA throughout her construction process, and will join the TWW Yacht Management Fleet after her delivery.

Despite being hull six from the B.Now 50m series, ALUNYA is the second vessel from the series to feature the Italian builder’s patented Oasis Deck – the first was launched less than two months earlier.

Benetti's B.Now series has redefined its traditional stern design through the use of hydraulic winged terraces port and starboard that extend the width of the deck. This layout provides an expansive an 36 square-metre beach club and outdoor living space, which comes complete with a glass-walled infinity pool and comfortable areas for lounging and socialising. Guests can also enjoy 270-degree views of the ocean from the stern.

ALUNYA takes full advantage of an effortless indoor-outdoor configuration, with her main saloon looking directly out onto the Oasis Deck. British design studio RWD penned her initial concept design and exterior styling, with naval architecture by PierLuigi Ausonio Naval Architecture. Benetti's Maria Rosa collaborated closely with the owners on the design and overall vision for the interior spaces to ensure their dream was achieved.

The B.Now series can accommodate either 10 or 12 guests, with the owners of ALUNYA opting for the former with a five-guest stateroom configuration. The owner’s suite can be found on the main deck forward and complete with a study area, a large ensuite and a private terrace. Her remaining guest staterooms are situated on the lower deck.

ALUNYA has a further six cabins for 10 crew members, including the Captain. Constructed with a steel hull and aluminium alloy superstructure, ALUNYA spans four decks and has a beam of 9.2-metres.

In terms of performance, Benetti has equipped her with electrical stablisers, twin MAN V12 1,400 horsepower engines and two Kohler 118 kW generators that deliver a 4,500 nautical mile range at 12 knots and a maximum speed of 15 knots. 

Tenders, toys and all water amenities are expertly concealed and stowed away within the bow. ALUNYA can stow a tender up to 5.65-metres in length as well as jet skis and various water toys, adding fun for the whole family. The tender can be deployed and retrieved through a hydraulically-operated hatch starboard.
