Benetti Launches Second Hull of 37M Motopanfilo
As of April 1st, Benetti is delighted to announce the launch of the second hull of 37m Motopanfilo at Viareggio facilities – now officially named EH2. The news of her launch comes after the first hull was delivered last year and named Koju.
Her delivery is expected in May 2022, from which she will then join the Ocean Independence charter fleet of over 1049 yachts in the 35-40m range.
Attending the launch, Ocean Independence sales broker Lukas Stratmann commented, "For me, the Benetti Motopanfilo 37M is the ultimate in simplicity, blending iconic elements of a classic sixties heritage with decidedly twenty-first century thinking. We are delighted to see EH2 launch and look forward to delivery to her owner this May.”
In terms of her exterior, it is clear that she was heavily inspired by the Benetti navettas of the sixties. Francesco Struglia, in collaboration with Benetti, penned her spectacular external lines, moulding the distinctive, nautical shapes and style of the past, whilst combining the hull and superstructure in a single shell. With a profile noted for its neat and clean cuts, it has been elongated and refined with austere shapes, making her instantly recognisable. She is currrently one of 4 Motopanfilo 37M models.
With a top speed of 16 knots and a cruising speed of 15 knots, her power comes from two MAN diesel engines. She also boasts 297 gross tonnage and a 7.8m beam.
Her warm and cosy interior was crafted by Italian studio Lazzarini Pickering Architetti; hosting up to 10 guests between five cabins, including the owner suite at the bow of the main deck and four guest cabins on the lower deck, as well as cabins for 7 crew members who are there to accommodate every guest's desires. Each space appears to gently curve with the shape of the hull, embracing its design with open arms and enhancing ocean views with natural, light wooden floors, vast windows and stunning mirrored surfaces.
Her stern features a spacious beach club and ample bathing platform, while the tender garage stays neatly tucked away to the side. If that's not enough, guests can head to the observation deck, also known as the "intimate fourth deck", for a spot of sea or star gazing.
EH2 is sure to be a master in her own right as we look forward to her unveiling in the coming weeks.
