Benetti Launches Steel Duo M/Y SYMMETRY and M/Y DAGGER

By Sophia Spanton

Benetti has added two new steel giants to its global fleet, launching M/Y SYMMETRY and M/Y DAGGER within just three weeks of each other. The consecutive debuts mark a major milestone for the B.Now 67M family, solidifying the Italian shipyard’s position as a leader in hybrid superyacht design and construction.

Both 67-metre yachts were built at Benetti’s Livorno facility and represent the evolution of the yard’s Steel Legacy philosophy, uniting advanced hybrid propulsion with craftsmanship rooted in over a century of shipbuilding expertise. Together, they account for 134 metres of custom innovation, backed by exterior design from RWD and interiors conceived by Reymond Langton Design and Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design.

The B.Now 67M series introduces Benetti’s most advanced hybrid propulsion platform to date. The system integrates engines, generators and battery packs that work in tandem to optimise performance and reduce environmental impact. Variable pitch propellers further enhance efficiency across different cruising speeds, while a heat recovery system channels energy from the generators to warm both domestic water and the yacht’s pool.

This flexible configuration allows a near-silent cruising mode, one of Benetti’s defining steps toward lowering emissions and elevating onboard comfort.

The two yachts share RWD’s unmistakable exterior aesthetic defined by the Oasis Deck®, Benetti’s signature concept that expands sea-level living with an infinity pool, open sides and a 270-degree visual connection to the water. While the exterior design unites the pair, their interiors express opposing creative directions.

M/Y SYMMETRY reflects the serene atmosphere envisioned by Reymond Langton Design, embracing pale finishes, layered textures and custom materials throughout. Notable features include hand-finished lacquered metals, bespoke textile artworks and a dramatic ice-effect crystal chandelier acting as a sculptural centrepiece.

M/Y DAGGER, by contrast, showcases the refined minimalism of Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design. The studio’s composition of nine distinct woods and muted tones fosters fluid continuity across the decks. Designed for an owner with a strong passion for art, curated display niches and dedicated gallery spaces create a seamless blend of interior design and private collection.

'These launches demonstrate how market demand is shifting towards yachts that deliver superior technological autonomy and reduced environmental impact, without ever compromising on comfort,' comments Daniela Petrozzi, Sales Director at Benetti.

With the almost simultaneous arrival of M/Y SYMMETRY and M/Y DAGGER, Benetti closes an extraordinary chapter in hybrid superyacht construction and one that points clearly toward the shipyard’s future direction: intelligent engineering, Italian artistry, and a deeper harmony with the ocean.

"The real value, for people who choose a large yacht today, lies precisely in the balance between steel construction excellence and propulsion systems capable of offering a quieter and more sustainable quality of life on board."
