Benetti’s Biggest Launches of 2021

By George Bains

There is never a quiet year for iconic Italian builder Benetti Yachts, and 2021 was no different. We take a look back on the largest Benetti launches of the last year, including full custom superyachts and new models…

65.4m TRIUMPH

The largest superyacht launched this year from Benetti was the full-custom project Triumph. Designed by Giorgio Cassetta, the construction of Triumph began on speculation as Project Vogue FB270, and was delivered to her owner in July 2021 having been listed for sale previously at €65,000,000.

Triumph has been touted as the first superyacht to be built by Benetti under China Classification Society and to fly the Chinese flag, setting a significant benchmark for Benetti’s growth in the Asian market.

65m ZAZOU

Closely behind Triumph was the 65m Zazou, launched in April 2021. Another full custom superyacht designed by Giorgio Cassetta, Zazou was commissioned by a repeat Benetti client.

Zazou accommodates 12 guests across 6 opulent cabins, with luxurious interiors penned by Dutch studio Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design. The 65m superyacht boasts one of the largest Sun Decks in her category at over 20m in length, complete with a gym, 5-metre-long swimming pool and an outdoor cinema.

Main Deck aft is an idyllic outdoor area for all day relaxation, while the Main Deck also hosts spacious interior living areas and the Owner’s Suite with private balcony.

48m HAWA

Designed by English studio RWD, 48-metre custom superyacht Hawa was launched from the Livorno shipyard on April 29th. The superyacht accommodates 10 guests in 5 cabins with a 9-strong crew on hand to provide unforgettable experiences on the water. Hawa stands out for her original layout, incredible brightness, and refined interiors which have been furnished with matte painted eucalyptus woods and refined dark walnut details.

Hawa is characterised by her elegant lines and ‘desert sand’ hull colour which was selected by her owner. The unique layout prioritises continuous contact with the outdoor environment, notably in the Main deck lounge which has five openings to the outside with views across the sea.

44m LUCKY WAVE

Lucky Wave became the third unit of the Diamond 44m model to be launched by Benetti, reaffirming the strength of Benetti’s diverse portfolio of superyacht lines.

The Diamond 44m has been designed to improve onboard lifestyle for owners, guests and crew, with a layout that separates guest and crew paths.

Lucky Wave features a hull that tapers up to meet the large windows, which flood the interiors with natural light and bring guests closer to their surrounding environment. The 102sqm Sun Deck is the largest on the market for a yacht of this size, and liveability.

The superyacht is finished with typical Benetti elegance and excellence, with a classic white exterior aesthetic and hand-polished bridges that reflect artisan traditions.
