Bilgin Yachts Announces Sale of 82m Project Bond at Palm Beach
A new flagship emerges with confidence and character as the 82-metre BOND is sold following her highly anticipated debut at the Palm Beach International Boat Show. Representing a landmark moment for Bilgin Yachts, the transaction stands among the most notable new-build sales of the year, reinforcing the shipyard’s growing stature in the global superyacht arena.
An evolution of Bilgin’s acclaimed 80-metre platform, BOND pushes the concept further, clearly in scale but also in overall ambition. Now the largest yacht ever built by the yard, she is defined by her impressive volume, abundance of natural light, and long-range cruising capability, all underpinned by a design philosophy centred on owner-driven customisation and real-world usability.
Her exterior and naval architecture, penned by Unique Yacht Design under Emrecan Özgün, present a sleek profile, while the interiors by H2 Yacht Design, led by Jonny Horsfield, promise a soft and immersive onboard experience. Expansive floor-to-ceiling glazing plays a central role in dissolving the boundary between interior and ocean, creating a connection to the surrounding seascape.
Accommodation and onboard living have been shaped not only by design pedigree but also by personal vision. Jeanette Staluppi’s influence is set to define the atmosphere and functionality of the interiors, bringing a distinctive sense of style and individuality to the yacht’s layout. The result is expected to be a highly liveable environment that protects comfortable elegance.
Engineered with the American market in mind, BOND combines a shallow draught with impressive performance credentials. A top speed of 17.5 knots, a cruising speed of 15 knots and a range exceeding 5,000 nautical miles ensure she is equally suited to East Coast cruising and global exploration. This balance of accessibility, capability, and refinement lies at the heart of her appeal.
For owner John Staluppi, the project is as personal as it is ambitious. Having owned 18 yachts, all named after James Bond films, BOND represents a fitting continuation, and perhaps culmination, of a lifelong tradition.
The sale, concluded through the joint efforts of Bilgin Yachts and FGI Yacht Group, marks the third successful collaboration between the two, underscoring a strong and evolving partnership. Ultimately, BOND stands as a statement that reflects Bilgin’s continued rise and their ability to deliver yachts that are as individual as the owners behind them.
