Bilgin Yachts Announces Technical Launch From New 52m Series

To create the most exceptional vessel possible, Unique Yacht Design and Hot Lab have collaborated on the design of this project, drawing upon the success of the Bilgin 170 model. Representing both careful planning and meticulous craftsmanship, her technical launch sets the stage for what is set to be a remarkable journey for this yacht, and the series as a whole.

The first hull in the series boasts an eye-catching exterior with a modern, sleek and sporty look. She is a semi-custom yacht, offering generous interior volumes with the ability to accommodate up to 12 guests and 9 crew. 

Berkay Yılmaz, Commercial Director of Bilgin Yachts, added an insight into her design: ‘The design of the Bilgin 52 features one of the largest sundecks in this size range. This expansive area contains a jacuzzi for up to 8 guests, dining area and bar. In terms of specification, the superyacht is equipped with the most advanced specification by Bilgin at 499 GT so far.’

Through the seamless blend of innovative design elements and unparalleled craftsmanship, the Bilgin 170 series represents the pinnacle of luxury yachting. Unique Yacht Design’s visionary exterior stylings enhance her spaciousness and functionality, allowing for ample room for relaxation and recreation alike. The living space is amplified by an elongated bridge deck aft, and the successful platform of the Bilgin 163 has been utilised to create a larger and more traditional bow shape. Whilst retaining this traditional style, these design elements provide the yacht with spacious open decks, expansive storage, and an overall sleeker appearance. 

Emrecan Özgün, founder of Unique Yacht Design, commented: ‘The layout of the Bilgin 170-I remains identical to its sibling models, ensuring familiarity and ease of use for customers. The primary goal during the design process was to optimise the 50-meter models, achieving a more sporty and masculine look while blending the design seamlessly to offer customers the ability to utilise both open and enclosed spaces under 500 gross tons.’

This ground-breaking series promises an impressive blend of style, functionality and craftsmanship, with every detail optimised to elevate the yachting experience: from elegant exterior lines to carefully considered interior spaces. Through a combination of functionality with refined aesthetics, Hot Lab has beautifully designed her interiors to compliment her striking profile, focusing on luxury, comfort and elegance. Özgün added: ‘This focus on functionality and aesthetic has resulted in a yacht that truly stands out from the crowd.’

The first hull is scheduled for delivery by the end of 2024, having now been moved to the West Istanbul Marina in preparation for the next phase of outfitting. The second unit follows closely behind, set to be ready for the pre-season of 2025.
