Bold White Fifth Pershing 140 Hits the Water in Ancona

By Sophia Spanton

Ferretti Group has launched the fifth hull in the Pershing 140 series at its Ancona Superyacht Yard. The striking aluminium superyacht entered the water on 9 May, showcasing a bold custom white hull and significant owner-driven modifications that enhance her sporting character and social appeal.

This latest Pershing 140 continues the series’ reputation for sleek, dynamic design while incorporating personalised changes that set her apart from her predecessors. Her flowing lines and distinctive side wings integrated into the superstructure are emphasised by the brilliant white paintwork, a departure from the aluminium-grey finish of earlier units. The light, elegant interiors follow the same refined palette, creating a bright and cohesive atmosphere throughout.

A key highlight is the transformation of the aft beach area. In place of the conventional tender garage, the owner has created a dedicated social space featuring a fully equipped central bar, making it an ideal spot for entertaining. The cockpit flows seamlessly into multiple lounge zones, including a generous sun pad and a raised al fresco dining area with a table for up to ten guests, sheltered yet airy thanks to glass side panels.

On the main deck, the layout features a circular dining table for eight with an adjacent bar, followed by a bright lounge with sofas and freestanding armchairs. The full-beam master suite has been personalised with an L-shaped sofa and additional storage, while the raised pilot house connects directly to the sundeck. Below deck, four guest cabins with en-suite facilities accommodate up to 12 guests thanks to Pullman berths in two of the cabins, all finished in soft, neutral tones.

The expansive sundeck serves as a panoramic terrace with a bar, sofas, pouffes, and a second helm station offering three pilot chairs for an engaging al fresco navigation experience. Forward, side walkways lead to a bow lounge complete with Jacuzzi and generous sunbathing space.

Designed in collaboration between architect Fulvio De Simoni, Ferretti Group’s Strategic Product Committee led by Piero Ferrari, and the Group Engineering Department, the Pershing 140 is built for performance. She is powered by four MTU 16V engines, each delivering 2,600 HP paired with waterjet propulsion. This configuration provides a top speed of 35 knots and a cruising speed of 30 knots.

With this fifth hull now in the water, the Pershing 140 series continues to demonstrate strong demand among owners seeking high-speed superyachts with meaningful customisation. The Ancona Superyacht Yard remains a key centre for Ferretti Group’s larger aluminium and steel builds, and further Pershing projects are expected to follow as the brand maintains its position at the forefront of performance yachting.
