Building Nations Launches Alongside the Monaco Yacht Show
The Monaco Yacht Show is where the world’s most remarkable superyachts gather, each a showcase of design, engineering, and craftsmanship. This year, as guests step aboard vessels on display, they are also invited to look behind the scenes with the official launch of Building Nations.
While the Monaco Yacht Show presents the finished product, Building Nations reveals the people and processes that make them possible. For the first time, cameras have been given access inside shipyards, workshops, and design studios, documenting not only how yachts are built, but how the industry uplifts communities and fuels economies across the globe.
Building Nations offers an unprecedented view of the industry that creates these billion-dollar dreams. Spanning 17 companies across five continents, the four-part series shines a light on the hidden faces of the superyacht world: the designers, engineers, and craftspeople who turn steel into works of art.
In January, Superyachts.com unveiled a preview of the series with a black-tie dinner in London, where guests enjoyed a specially curated supercut of all four episodes. The evening offered a glimpse into what is now being shared publicly for the first time.Alexander Souabni, Global Head of Marketing for Gulf Craft Group, reflected on the series’ message following its premiere screening earlier this year:
‘The big takeaway was the importance of the industry, and the multifaceted nature of the superyacht industry as a whole.’
With its official release coinciding with the Monaco Yacht Show, Building Nations provides a timely counterpoint: while yachts glisten at anchor in Port Hercule, the series shows how they come to life: through years of vision, collaboration, and precision.
For Superyachts.com, the launch of Building Nations is more than a documentary release. It is a step towards making the industry more visible, accessible, and understood. By highlighting the artistry and dedication of those behind the scenes, the series reframes the superyacht world not as a closed circle, but as a global network of creators whose work impacts economies and communities far beyond the quayside.
Building Nations is now available across Prime and Apple TV.
