Burgess Announces Sale of 64m Codecasa SOKAR

By Jenna Mehdi

Burgess has announced the sale of 63.8m yacht SOKAR, with Seawood Yachts representing the buyer. The iconic yacht was built by Italian yard Codecasa in 1990 and underwent several refits during her lifetime, most recently in 2020.

SOKAR’s original exterior design was penned by Vittorio Cerruti, and updated by Howard & Horsfield during her later refit. Offering impressive accommodation for 18 guests and 16 crew, SOKAR is incredibly versatile and built for quality time onboard with family and friends. Her profile is characterised by a timeless white exterior belying spacious onboard dining and lounging areas.

SOKAR’s luxurious amenities include a touch-and-go helipad on the sun deck aft and Jacuzzi on the upper sundeck. Having been kept for private use by each owner since her launch, SOKAR will be delivered to her new owner in pristine condition. In 1997 SOKAR arrived at German shipyard Abeking & Rasmussen to undergo an extensive two-year refit which included a 5m stern extension.

Her updated interior spaces, also designed by Howard & Horsfield, are characterised by sleek, lacquered wood finishes to give an elegant and classic feel.

We would like to congratulate Burgess and Seawood Yachts on this significant sale, and wish SOKAR’s new owner an enjoyable season ahead.
