In a time where the UHNW generation is becoming younger every year, yacht brokerage firm Burgess has taken the opportunity to focus on its own next generation.
According to figures from Forbes, there are currently around 109 billionaires under the age of 40: a remarkable number, and one that hints at the superyacht industry’s next generation of clientele.
With a new wave of potential superyacht clients and yachting enthusiasts, the need for a complimentary team of brokers is now more significant than ever.
In its latest announcement, Burgess showcased some of the ‘best and brightest’ blossoming young members of its team.
Despite being young in age, the new generation of sales and charter brokers boast a wealth of expertise, and have subsequently overseen top results for the brokerage company, dealing with some of Burgess' most prestigious clients. Creating an excellent impression, the young team are now becoming the go-to experts for a collection of the world’s most highly-regarded superyacht owners and charterers.
Making a name for themselves as the industry’s next wave of leading yacht brokers, Burgess’ six featured brokers include: Chris Gregory, Catherine Miller, Lotte Barker-Hahlo, Johnny Howe, Charles Jones and Christiana Nicolaou.
Burgess additionally provided an interesting insight into its target audience, which revealed that 65.4% of its target market make their wealth through self-made means, 24% through a combination of inheritance and self-made means and only 10.7% of its target audience making their wealth from inheritance.
The international broker also highlighted that 81% of its target audience are male, and 19% female, with 38% of its audience located in North America. Other locations of its target audience include 29.6% Asia, 25.1% Europe and 3.1% Middle East.
