Burgess Partners with NEOM’s Superyacht Destination Sindalah

By Frances Flannagan

Ahead of the island’s opening in 2024, NEOM has announced a partnership with Burgess, offering its full range of services to Sindalah’s yachting clientele. As a leading global superyacht provider, the agreement with the yachting brokerage supports NEOM’s vision of Sindalah becoming a global superyacht destination that offers premium services to guests.

Sindalah will be the first of NEOM’s assets to be unveiled, located off the coast of NEOM in North-West Saudi Arabia and offering guests an idyllic luxury lifestyle. The island is home to a world-leading yachting ecosystem, making the marina a new hub within the yachting world.

The partnership between Burgess and Sindalah will see the brokerage firm providing a diverse range of luxury services to enhance the island’s global yachting offering. These will include yacht management, charter and charter management, sales and purchase, yacht insurance, new build and refit projects, yacht marketing and procurement.

Antoni Vives, Chief Urban Development and Islands Officer at Neom commented: ‘We’re committed to becoming a distinctive yachting destination, and deliver world-class services to guests and yachts visiting the Red Sea. We recognize chartering as a critical aspect of the yachting experience. Many of our guests visiting Sindalah will be looking forward to experiencing a nautical lifestyle through chartering a yacht. Also, yacht owners and managers will be happy to offer their prized possessions for chartering in the Red Sea. Our partnership with Burgess will help us to ensure that this critical activity is enabled at Sindalah from the time of launch.’

Over the past decade, the demand for superyacht services in the region has grown significantly, with Burgess having already established a presence in the Middle East back in 2016. With regards to yachting needs, Burgess is able to provide Sindalah guests with the most premium services on offer, ensuring a smooth experience for everyone involved.

Jonathan Hind, Managing Director of Burgess Middle East commented, ‘We are very excited to be a part of this new development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at NEOM. Sindalah will offer superyacht clientele everything they want and need for a fantastic experience, and we will be on hand to make this happen.’

Saudi Red Sea Authority (SRSA) has provided critical support for enabling the partnership between NEOM and Burgess. The authority is the key enabler and regulator of Red Sea coastal tourism activities and places a significant emphasis on sustainability. It aids in protecting and preserving the Red Sea environment whilst also facilitating smoother customer journeys for marine operators and practitioners.

"We are very excited to be a part of this new development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at NEOM. Sindalah will offer superyacht clientele everything they want and need for a fantastic experience, and we will be on hand to make this happen."
