Burgess Scoops CA for 91m Tranquility

By Jenna Mehdi

The latest jewel in the Burgess sales fleet crown is the 91.5m Oceanco-built Tranquility. Delivered in 2014, the Dutch flagship accommodates up to 22 guests and comes lavishly equipped with a spacious beach club, beauty salon, massage room, hammam and plunge pool - and has been listed at an asking price of EUR 149,900,000.

Nothing short of what is expected from a quintessential Oceanco Top100 superyacht, Tranquility’s astounding onboard amenities are more akin to a floating palace than a yacht. From her 20 square metre pool on upper deck forward to her certified helipad and decadent owner’s suite, every inch of Tranquility’s onboard space has been carefully curated to meet her owner’s every desire.

Winch Design is responsible for the relaxed Asian fusion which defines interior life onboard Tranquility. Suitably named, the superyacht’s interior design consists of an intricate harmonisation, blending rich materials of wenge, gold leaf, bamboo and Travatino Veluto marble. The result is an effect of effortless elegance, sophistication without stuffiness, which serves to elevate the stature of this 91m superyacht built by two industry greats.

When she was launched in 2014 under the name Equanimity, the superyacht stole the show at the Monaco Yacht Show Gala Awards, snapping up the title of ‘Finest New Yacht’.

‘The design started with how to maximise the use of the boat,’ Andrew Winch told the Superyachts.com Breaking News Centre at the 2014 Monaco Yacht Show. ‘So we’ve ended up with a fully certified helicopter landing area, aft of a swimming pool and sun terrace, but with a multi-function use. The key feature was to have functionality, but multi-functionality. The second key feature was to build the first PYC Yacht Code boat, for over 12 passengers. So we have great flexibility of guest numbers and cabins.’

Breaking records in more ways than one, Tranquility holds a respectable ranking of 74th largest yacht in the world Top100 Largest Yachts. According to the Superyachts.com Owner’s Search, she ranked as number 45 in the world when she was delivered in 2014.

Tranquility also carried two 10.5m custom Hodgdon tenders, launched from shell doors on the main deck aft, as well as further toy stowage on her lower deck. She is completed by an abundance of dining and socialising spaces, including that in her upper deck lounge housing room for 12 guests and affording 180 degree sea views.

Currently docked in Singapore, those wishing to know more information about Tranquility should get in touch with Central Agent for sale, Burgess
