Columbus Yachts' 50m Project ‘LADY’ Sold
Columbus Yachts has announced the sale of Project ‘Lady’, a new 50-metre model in the builder’s ‘Custom’ series.
Columbus Yachts, a brand of the esteemed Palumbo Group, is perhaps best known for the delivery of 80-metre superyacht Dragon in 2019. Earlier this year, Columbus unveiled a new Classic 50 superyacht, and this latest sale represents a new era for Columbus’ full-custom line, confirming the brand’s commitment to creating projects tailored to the client.
Both the interior and exterior design of Lady has been penned by Marco Casali of Rome-based Too-Design, ensuring that this superyacht has a Made-in-Italy feel throughout. The Palumbo Superyachts team are responsible for the engineering behind this magnificent all-aluminium superyacht, which features sporty lines.
“This is an innovative, dynamic, cutting-edge project that fully reflects the essential principles of the Columbus brand,” said Giuseppe Palumbo, CEO of Palumbo Superyachts. “A process driven by the collaboration with a Customer highly sensitive to environment and elegance that will make this project a new reference point on the market.”
With a volume of 499 GT, ‘Lady’ will look to be a trendsetter for its several ‘green’ and ‘eco-friendly’ solutions. “Columbus full-custom 50m ‘Lady’ is a unique challenge in terms of sustainability and equipment,” comments Marco Casali of Too-Design. “It will be a reference point on the market for technology dedicated to environmental impact and comfort on board. The sleek lines emphasize its performance and combine perfectly with the large outdoor spaces.
“The interior design, rigorously based on natural and ecological materials, is primarily conceived for private use and for long voyages around the world.”
