Columbus Yachts, part of the esteemed Palumbo Group and the builders behind the celebrated 80m DRAGON, has confirmed the success of its award-winning Sport line with the new launch.

K2 is defined by a vertical bow and sleek, clean lines, blending sportiness with sophistication in a new and innovative package. The 50m model is the largest Sport model to be launched to date, comprising a series of technological innovations onboard including a specially engineered hull to guarantee comfort even in the harshest sea conditions.

The superyacht reaches an impressive top speed of 21.5 knots, powered by two 2,6000HP MTU engines, and is capable of long range transoceanic passages. The sea trials wielded ‘very interesting results’ of her performance, including low fuel consumption of 70LPH at 10 knots.

K2 also excelled in the aspect of low noise and vibrations particularly in the guest cabins, even at 85% of maximum engine power and a speed slightly above 20 knots.

The Columbus Sport 50, M/Y K2, is expected to make her official debut at the 30th Monaco Yacht Show this coming September.
