Construction Update: Hull of Numarine’s New 40MXP Superyacht Turned
Numarine has announced that the new 40MXP’s hull has been turned and moved to the shipyard for outfitting. This ‘Mediterranean Explorer’ model is set to become the shipyard’s flagship vessel in 2025 with the launch of the first unit, with an impressive transatlantic range and spectacular onboard spaces for her Owner and guests to enjoy.
Numarine’s new 40MXP preserves the DNA of her siblings and retains the Italian yard’s high-volume, low-range ethos whilst boasting a variety of new design elements that enhance a connection with the sea. The shipyard has recently announced that her hull has successfully been turned: a milestone stage in her construction.
‘It’s a big milestone for our new model’s construction and I’m happy to confirm we’re on track with the delivery in 2025 as it was planned initially,’ commented Murat Şen, General Manager of Numarine. ‘I’m happy that the market has exhibited a positive response to this model, with a notable influx of interested boat owners. Three 40MXP hulls have already been sold before the first one was launched, which is a great success.’
Her design is an evolution of the 37XP and reflects the beach-club lifestyle typical of Mediterranean yachts in a number of exciting ways. Her aft deck has been enlarged, resulting in an area that boasts a large al fresco dining space, a bar, a lounge area and an aft pool complete with glass transom.
This extraordinary social hub extends down to an expansive hydraulic swim platform that stretches eight metres across the 40MXP’s beam: a true oasis of outdoor living. It is able to be shaded with an awning at bay and also benefits from an upper deck overhang, allowing those on board to enjoy the outdoor space in even the hottest of climates.
Her interior is characterised by Numarine’s trademark space and luxury, with 12 guests able to be accommodated across six suites including a full-beam main deck master cabin and a full-beam lower deck VIP.
The 40MXP is a true explorer vessel, featuring an optimised hull form developed by Umberto Tagliavini that allows her to achieve an impressive 6,000nm range at eight knots. She features everything that made the 37XP model such a success, from an expansive flybridge to generous upper deck space. With a large boat deck, the 40MXP is able to carry a nine metre tender and three jet-skis, with space for additional water toys, truly cultivating a meaningful connection to the sea.
The turning of her hull marks a significant stage in her construction process, as she remains on track for delivery next year.
