CRN Launches 62m Custom Superyacht M/Y RIO

By Jenna Mehdi

Just one day after news of the yacht’s sale made headlines, custom Italian yacht builder CRN has launched 62m M/Y RIO. The Ancona-based shipyard and member of Ferretti Group is known for its successful deliveries of all-custom creations, and RIO is no exception.

The steel and aluminium motor yacht was sold by Alex Heyes and David Westwood of TWW Yachts just in time for her launch. Designed and built by CRN on spec in close collaboration with design studio Omega Architects, Pulina Exclusive Interiors is responsible for her luxury interior styling.

At 62m with an 11.2m beam, RIO comfortably accommodates 12 guests across four decks, with elevator access between all. Conceived to offer a family-friendly cruising experience like no other, RIO’s highlights include a wellness lounge and fitness area in the beach club, dedicated owner’s deck and intelligent distribution of space.

With the launch of RIO, CRN has affirmed its commitment to building more responsibly, nodding to Ferretti Group’s corporate agenda for sustainability issued last year. The yard has also implemented trigeneration and solar-power systems, helping to cut heat and power consumption by 32% and 79% respectively.

We would like to congratulate all parties involved on a smooth launch in the wake of a timely sale, and will be closely following RIO’s journey to delivery over the coming months.
