CRN’s 62m RIO Excels on Sea Trials

By Emily Dawkins

Ancona-based shipyard and member of Ferretti Group, CRN, has announced that its 62m custom superyacht M/Y RIO has successfully completed her first sea trial.

Following an impressive launch in January, only days after the news of her sale, 62m RIO has triumphantly passed her initial sea trials, soon expected to be delivered to her buyer, who is currently represented by TWW Yachts

As the latest fully custom steel and aluminium superyacht by CRN, RIO undertook a range of trials and functional tests during her first time on the water. Carried out by CRN’s highly experienced engineers and technicians, alongside external experts, the 62m vessel faced thorough preliminary inspections. The results of these first trials and inspections were extremely successful, and verified the high standard of design and build quality of the new build.

Designed and built by CRN in collaboration with design and architecture studio, Omega Architects, for her exteriors, and Pulina Exclusive Interiors, for her interiors, 62m RIO was notably applauded for her elevated levels of comfort and excellence during her inspections. That is no surprise, as her sleek and sporty exterior is home to four impressive decks, all boasting luxurious interior design across an expansive luminous layout: uniquely created for an owner who has a passion for life on-board. TWW Yacht Management is providing integral supervision for the final stages of RIO’s construction.

The 62m vessel comfortably accommodates up to 12 guests across a dedicated owner’s deck and five additional cabins. RIO’s clever distribution of space includes a wellness lounge and fitness area, offering the perfect shared cruising experience for her guests.

M/Y RIO will be the only new delivery of her size category to enter the charter market this year after her highly anticipated delivery in the coming months. Listed for charter with TWW Yachts, RIO is certainly the perfect yacht for summer charter in the Med, or winter charter in the Carribbean.

We would like to congratulate all parties involved in her successful sea trials and will be eagerly anticipating RIO’s journey to delivery shortly this year, later seeing her on the water as an incredible charter vessel.
