Cyber Yachts Signs Designer Kurt Strand and 135m CALIFORNIA

By Heather Collier

Cyber Yachts, the world's first metaverse yacht company, has signed renowned Norwegian yacht designer Kurt Strand, and his 444-foot crystal palace mega yacht, “California”.

The 135m California is the world’s largest and most luxurious metaverse superyacht, equipped with a wide range of high-end amenities and entertainment. She is the latest to join Cyber Yachts’ fleet of metaverse superyachts, which will host virtual concerts and events with A-list artists and celebrities.

Tickets to these virtual and IRL experiential events will be made up of unique NFT collections, minted and branded exclusively for each event.

Cyber Yachts are thrilled to announce they have now welcomed aboard designer Kurt Strand, who founded his design studio Strand Craft in 2003. Strand's expertise in boat and yacht design, custom cars and custom boat-building paralleled the essentials of creating the most breathtaking vessels with top performance, use of latest technology and selecting only the finest materials for hand-crafted perfection.

Strand modelled the California yacht after gladiator helmet designs which flow into feminine shaped lines. The 8,000-tonne vessel can host up to 24 guests and a crew of 50. She features a helicopter landing pad which can be stored under the main deck via an automatic elevator system, along with three swimming pools with waterfalls which lets water flow from the upper deck to the main level and down to the beach area, one of which has a surf riding machine, living up to what it truly means to be "Californian".

California is designed with a hybrid electric propulsion system that are powered by high-efficient diesel turbine generators. The propulsion is entrusted to three Azipods capable of pushing California up to 20 knots. Powered solely on batter power, she can reach a slow cruising speed of 11 knots for the course of 5 hours.

An advanced water-cleaning system and an automatic-angled solar panel system also assist the power supply in the harbour. Mirroring her eco-conscious design, all of her tenders and toys are fully electric-powered.

California's interior has a "zen" feel, designed with a relaxed lifestyle and sustainability in mind, with recycled wood, natural stone, inside wall waterfalls, and large aquariums. It also includes a club style lounge area with a bar, game rooms, a gym with a Turkish Bath, massage studio and wellness spa. She also features a 24-seat movie theatre, bowling alley, and a showroom for a classic car collection for guests to indulge in. Beautiful koi ponds can also be found in the lobby and lounge area; transporting you to another world entirely.

Cyber Yachts was founded in partnership with three-time Grammy-nominated recording artist Quavo of the platinum-selling group Migos. Now building luxury events and an online gaming metaverse of yachts, celebrities, rockstars, island hopping and a vast ocean of destination playgrounds, users will find that the heart of the experience will be the superyacht itself, each one uniquely designed especially for her owner.

Now positioning itself in a highly lucrative market, Cyber Yachts intends to offer users exclusive benefits, through tickets and VIP passes, experienced curated events, performances, gaming quests, luxury digital goods and social fun.
