Damen 55m Yacht Support TIME OFF Available for Delivery

By Jenna Mehdi

Following her launch earlier this year, 55m Damen Yacht Support TIME OFF has arrived at the yard’s Vlissingen facility. The ninth unit from the popular YS 5009 is available for immediate delivery to her prospective owner.

Earlier this year, TIME OFF’s predecessor GENE CHASER made headlines after undergoing a major conversion to serve as a research lab and scientific hub for owner Dr Jonathan Rothberg. TIME OFF shares many of the same features, including a large multipurpose main deck hangar which can be purposed for submersible and dive operations, vehicle garage or workshop facilities, equipment stowage, social engagement and other transport requirements.

TIME OFF does however feature several new enhancements, including a new layout for up to seven guests and four staff plus crew, as well as various design and technical upgrades. These include generator sound enclosure, upgraded AV and navigation systems and updated engine room equipment.

As the 17th Yacht Support vessel launched by Damen, TIME OFF proves the enduring popularity of a successful and versatile range. Clients are drawn to the YS 5009 due to her flexible design options, and the potential for conversion of her 50 square metre aft.

Wouter Kleijpoel, Design Manager Yacht Support, comments: “TIME OFF is all about providing clients flexibility. A blend of adventure and superyacht support functions that they can customise to work for them. We are very proud to now have her here in Vlissingen and available for clients to visit and take out on sea trials.”
