Deutsche Yachten Welcomes Ocean Independence to German Market

By Danny Wiser

Ocean Independence has joined Deutsche Yachten in a bid to expand the client base in Germany.

The yacht management company, whose headquarters are based in Küsnacht, Switzerland, is looking to make inroads in the burgeoning German market.

With branches in Düsseldorf and Hamburg joining the German Boat and Shipbuilders Association seemed a no-brainer for sales broker Lukas Stratmann.

The German market has always been a very important one for us,” said the Ocean Independence broker.

He continued: “Many of our brokerage, charter and new construction clients come from Germany. Therefore, it was only natural to join the working group in order to create an even better network with the relevant companies in this country.”

With 13 offices worldwide, Ocean Independence’s global-facing outlook and general pedigree was welcomed by Deutsche Yachten, the working group of the German Boat and Shipbuilders Association.

Managing Director of the Association, Claus-Ehlert Meyer, said: “A company that is so strongly focused on end customers and thus acts virtually on the pulse of yachting is very good for the group. I am extremely pleased to welcome such a renowned company.”
