DIBS 2023: Gulf Craft Presents Two Global Superyacht Launches

By George Bains

The Dubai International Boat Show is an event of ever-growing prominence in the superyacht industry. With the show underway this year, UAE manufacturer, Gulf Craft, has used the platform for the global debuts of Majesty 111 and Nomad 101.

The two superyachts on display at DIBS 2023 celebrate Gulf Craft’s vision for the future, epitomising a new era of dynamic growth under the shipyard’s strategic theme of ‘Legacy in Motion’. The theme focuses on four core areas: Technology & Innovation, Path to Sustainability, Global Expansion and Next Generation.

The Dubai International Boat Show has been an important event for Gulf Craft in particular, with the company celebrating its 40th anniversary at the show last year. This year, the emphasis is very much on consolidating its vision for the future.

The Majesty 111 and Nomad 101 epitomise that vision, heralded as the ‘new leaders in their class’. The two superyachts capture the company’s heritage while also setting a benchmark for its future.

“At Gulf Craft, we never shy away from out-of-the-box thinking,” shared Mohamed Hussein Alshaali, Chairman of Gulf Craft. “This innovative spirit inspired our growth from a builder of small fishing boats to one of the world’s leading yacht builders.

“The Majesty 111 and Nomad 101 are a nod to our legacy while reflecting a bold, forward-thinking stance. Our visitors at the Dubai International Boat Show can experience the future of yachting built with a clear focus on sustainability.”

A collaboration between Gulf Craft and Phathom Studio of the Netherlands, the tri-deck Majesty 111 features a functional “mid-century modern” design language, offering seamless indoor-outdoor connection and strong adaptiveness for the charter market.

This connection is heightened through the extensive use of glazing onboard, said to be 40% more than a typical yacht of this category. The effect is one of enhanced liveability, creating bright and airy interior spaces that offer unrestricted views of the surrounding environment.

Performance and sustainability have been key areas of focus, in line with the company’s future vision. Through advanced technology, innovation, and future-proof solutions, the Majesty 111 can reach top performance at cruising speed with the least possible fuel consumption – enabling further exploration and adventures in destinations such as the Far East, French Polynesia, and Australia.

The Nomad 101 is the product of decades of experience in advancing superyacht design and production.

The 29.77m superyacht features a 5-cabin layout, with harmonious proportions and ample lavish guest spaces on the interior. There are ample outdoor entertainment features to provide a perfect platform for long-range cruising, including a generous garage space with storage for two 3-seater jet skis and a Williams 25 tender.

The yacht’s capabilities and seaworthiness are also apt for such long-range cruises, with a nautical range of 1,030nm and a cruising speed of 12 knots on minimum fuel consumption for a vessel of her size.

Gulf Craft has earned a proud reputation for the high-quality and craftsmanship of its luxury yacht range, with a commitment to pushing innovation in both design and performance. The new vision outlined at DIBS 2023 promises much more to look forward to in the future, with a strong focus on better fuel efficiency and emissions-reducing-technologies.
