Edmiston Reports a Record-Breaking Q1 2025: €1.07 Billion in Superyacht Sales

By Sophia Spanton

Edmiston has had an exceptional performance in the first quarter of 2025, setting a new benchmark for the superyacht market. With 76 yachts over 30 metres sold globally, representing €1.07 billion in total value. Q1 2025 now stands as the strongest first quarter for Edmiston in two years, reflecting a resurgence in demand for luxury vessels.

Deals took an average of 599 days to close, an 11% increase compared to the 2024 average. Sellers have shown increased adaptability, with price reductions climbing by 22% year-on-year. Meanwhile, the flow of yachts entering the market rose by just 10%, with January and February emerging as unexpectedly strong months for new listings. In contrast, March saw a surprising dip, with new joiner numbers down by nearly half compared to previous years.

Among the standout transactions this quarter was the sale of the remarkable 74m NEW SECRET, a landmark in-house deal that closed at the end of March. Other significant sales included an in-build 73m Admiral GC-Force yacht, RESILIENCE at 65m, and RED DRAGON at 52m, showing a strong activity across a variety of size segments.

This record-breaking start to the year reflects broader trends within the superyacht market. While sales cycles have lengthened slightly, flexibility on pricing and sustained buyer interest have kept momentum alive. The €1.07 billion in Q1 sales points to a promising outlook for the remainder of 2025, as Edmiston continues to navigate shifting dynamics with expertise and precision.

As the year unfolds, all eyes are on how these trends will evolve, particularly with growing interest in larger yachts and custom builds. For now, Q1 2025 stands as a testament to Edmiston’s leadership and the enduring allure of luxury yachting.
