Feadship Launches High-Speed Project 706

By Jenna Mehdi

Feadship’s high-speed Project 706 left its shed in the Netherlands yesterday as it inches nearer to completion.

Last spotted arriving at the Feadship yard in Aalsmeer last year to undergo its outfitting stage, Project 706 is on schedule for delivery sometime later this year.

Once completed, the 49.65-metre yacht is speculated to become one of the fastest Feadships on the water.

With naval architecture by Feadship’s in-house architectural team De Voogt Naval Architects, Project 706 achieves its fast and light disposition by virtue of an all-aluminium build.

Not much else is known about the highly secretive project; we remain at hand to bring our readers further details as they are released.

The launch of Project 706 marks the latest addition to what has already been a lucrative year for the accomplished shipbuilders.

Feadship made headlines in February this year as the 100m Moonrise hit the water for the first time, followed by the delivery of 75m Arrow just a few months later. Project 706 marks yet another milestone for the Dutch shipbuilders before the summer season is out.
