Ferretti Group Opens New Operational Headquarters
Ferretti Group has recently announced the opening of its new operational headquarters at the yard’s Ancona facility. The new area is not just a great technical advancement for Ferretti, but a reflection of the shipyard’s commitment to building exceptional custom superyachts, as the buildings themselves feature the beautiful Italian stylings found on every single Ferretti build.
The new Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard has recently been inaugurated, marked by a ceremony attended by representatives of institutions and authorities from the maritime sector. This new area in the Superyacht Yard, which spans a total of 4,200 sqm, is set to become an important strategic and operating hub, located in Via Enrico Mattei.
The building has seen an extensive refurbishment to create a modern, functional environment that will be home to the management team, the design and planning office, and the department overseeing aluminium and steel boats.
‘2023 is an important year for us, one packed with new developments and even more growth: the dual listing in Milan and Hong Kong, the Ravenna shipyard acquisition and today, here in Ancona, a new space that speaks to the future and to Italian luxury’, commented Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi. ‘This new area, which completes the Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard, is another step forward for our research into technology and style. It is where our employees will find the ideal environment to fully express their outstanding skills, and where our owners can come to choose the most beautiful boats in the world. Because this is where the dreams of yachting enthusiasts come true.’
These new spaces take their inspiration from the prestigious boats built by the Italian yard. The interiors have been designed to reflect the customisation approach applied to yachts, with rich materials such as fine leather, wood and marble used throughout. Every single space is personalised: the Ferretti DNA being injected beyond its vessels and into the offices themselves.
The Ancona shipyard covers a total of 80,000 sqm and is designed for the construction of superyachts with a LOA of 90m. This expansion certifies the Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard as a strategic multi-brand yacht construction hub.
The production site is completed with nine industrial sheds which allow for 24 superyachts to be built in parallel. The modern sheds feature high-tech solutions, including compressed-air and centralised technical gas systems, heating and power generation systems and overhead cranes, to name a few.
The yard features a stretch of water that opens out in front: a unique space and precious resource. It expands 250m along the coast, providing large berths for up to 15 superyachts at once.
The Ancona yard also features a modern tri-generation plant that has been producing electric, heat and cooling power for a number of years, showcasing the actions Ferretti Group is taking to become more sustainable.
