Fifth DOM 133 M/Y ASTERA Launched by Baglietto

By Frances Flannagan

ASTERA has officially hit the water, marking the fifth DOM 133 to be launched by Baglietto. Her design is characterised by a sense of spaciousness onboard, with a number of innovative features implemented across the yacht to achieve this.

ASTERA is a 40.60m aluminium displacement yacht that is part of Baglietto’s DOM 133 line, designed inside and out by Stefano Vafiadis. She beautifully preserves the key features that have characterised the success of this model, including the two-level beach club and the generous volumes.

The DOM 133 line has a cruising speed of 15 knots and a range of 3,500nm, able to accommodate up to ten guests and eight crew members.

ASTERA confirms the extent to which the Italian yard allows for customisation, boasting significant innovations that have mainly been implemented to increase the sense of openness onboard.

Her beach club has been fitted with an infinity pool with a lifting bottom that rises to enhance the spacious main deck cockpit even further, whilst the saloon on ASTERA’s upper deck features a window-door that opens up on the sides onto two balconies. The ventilation ducts have also been moved outside on the main deck, meaning that this space now benefits from full glazing on the left side.

ASTERA features two Caterpillar C32 engines, enabling her to reach an impressive maximum speed of 17 knots.

ASTERA has now been moved to Baglietto’s La Spezia shipyard to complete final outfitting.
