First Ferretti Yachts 860 Superyacht Launched in Italy

By Emily Dawkins

The first unit from the Ferretti Yachts 860 series has been launched from the Ferretti Group shipyard in Cattolica, Italy. Built for an Italian owner, the first 26.95m 860 superyacht will now begin her maiden voyage in the Mediterranean before making her debut at Cannes later this year.

Adorned with elegant ‘Made in Italy’ style, the first Ferretti Yachts 860 brings the industry a brand new flybridge yacht featuring ‘cutting-edge design solutions’ within a timeless exterior profile.

Built for an Italian owner who has a passion for contemporary design and versatile spaces, the Ferretti Yachts 860 captures her owner's needs exquisitely. A collaboration between the Strategic Product Committee, led by Mr. Piero Ferrari, and the Ferretti Group Engineering Department, alongside exterior design by Filippo Salvetti and interior design by Ideaeitalia, saw this incredible Ferretti Yachts superyacht come to life. The first 860 unit becomes the third Ferretti vessel to be developed by the Italian design duo.

The ‘Classic Mood’ version of the 860 is displayed in this first unit, featuring warm, dark colours complimented by bright, eye-catching finishes. At 26.95m with a beam of 6.22m, the first Ferretti Yachts 860 offers plenty of luxurious space onboard. Emphasised by a vast opening window at starboard, the first 860 promotes a harmonious connection to the sea, with her exterior and interior areas boasting the utmost continuity in regards to design and layout.

Carefully crafted features such as the ‘Art Deco-inspired curves’ and ‘large helical staircase’, which connects the main deck to the lower deck, highlight the meticulous craftsmanship behind the Ferretti Yachts 860. For Ferretti, its work is championed by its vision to create harmony at sea and establish the ultimate sophisticated atmosphere onboard. The Ferretti Yachts 860 is an incredible example of the yard’s ‘Just like Home’ concept: a combination of comfort, ‘Italianness’, timeless design and craftsmanship.

Presented to the industry only eight months ago, the first superyacht from the 860 range welcomes her owner onboard for the first time, cruising to the Mediterranean. The 26.95m superyacht will become a ‘star’ of the Ferretti Group Private Preview in Monte Carlo before her world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September.

Ferretti Yachts 860 can accommodate 20 guests onboard. She has a maximum speed of 32 knots and a cruising speed of 27 knots. We can’t wait to see her showcasing those impressive speeds around the Med very soon.
