First Sanlorenzo 44Alloy Superyacht Launched Sold to Asia

By George Bains

The first Sanlorenzo 44Alloy superyacht sold to Asia has been launched at the Sanlorenzo Superyacht Division in La Spezia. The Asia office for the Italian luxury yacht builder is part of Simpson Marine, the leading regional yacht sales and charter company based out of Hong Kong. A second 44Alloy has been sold in the Asian market, and is expected to be launched this Autumn.

The 44.5m fast displacement superyacht has been built out of an entirely aluminium structure and is scheduled to make a world premiere at the Genoa Boat Show in October should the event go ahead as planned. The yacht has been designed by the Zuccon International Project studio, a long-term partner of Sanlorenzo which has worked on the new SX and relaunched SD line.

The 44Alloy is a statement of contemporary design and has homed in on the requirements of a modern owner. The yacht features clean, sporty lines with distinctive cut-outs in the bulwarks to provide unlimited sea views from the main deck and a sky lounge on the upper deck. A high-performance fast cruiser, the 44Alloy can reach a maximum speed of 22 knots while a 7m tender stored in the aft side of the hull is perfect for exploration.

The yacht has plenty of luxurious guest spaces to ensure unforgettable experiences wherever in the world she may venture. A spacious beach club provides an idyllic setting for days spent soaking up the sun, while the accommodation includes an expansive master cabin that spans three levels and covers a total 145 sqm. The master cabin also has direct access to a private outdoor bow lounge area and pool, giving the Owner complete privacy and exclusivity.

Nick Stratton, Sanlorenzo Asia Sales Manager, greeted the launch with much enthusiasm. “We are very proud to see this incredible yacht launched and it is exciting to follow the final stages of build and sea trials,” said Stratton. “The yacht has many unique features and I am certain that it will shake up the market here in Asia. The innovative spaces on board are simply incredible. 2020 has been a record year for Sanlorenzo Asia and we will welcome a second 44Alloy this year also. The fleet continues to exponentially grow.

The progress of Sanlorenzo Asia is a much welcomed success story in a tumultuous year that has seen so much disruption. The 44Alloy superyacht is one of 12 Sanlorenzo yachts to be delivered in Asia in 2020, marking a record year for the Italian shipyard and underlining the appeal of the brand in diverse markets. With a second 44Alloy soon to be launched, we can only expect further success in the future for Sanlorenzo.
