FLIBS Gears Up for Exciting Experience-Filled Show

By Emily Dawkins

The world’s largest in-water boat show is back, and better than ever. The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) returns tomorrow for its 63rd edition, expected to yet again put on an incredible showcase of world debuts and exclusive luxury experiences.

Taking place from Wednesday 26th October to Sunday 30th October, the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show is set to present more U.S world debuts than any other boat show in the country. As the largest in-water show in the world, the five-day event spans an incredible 90 acres of both water and land-based exhibits, offering an extensive array of all things boats, yachts and marine life.

This year, organisers of the Florida-based show are placing an emphasis on experiences. Aimed at taking visitors on a journey through its vast grounds, owners of the show, the Marine Industries Association of South Florida (MIASF) and the producers, Informa Markets, have compiled an impressive, and refreshed, collection of dedicated luxury novelties.

Visitors can begin their FLIBS journey at the Broward County Convention Center, which serves as the show’s transportation hub, equipped with numerous shuttle services alongside an exhibition of the latest in fishing boats, cruisers, and marine accessories. From here, the show is your oyster. Take a water taxi to the Bahia Mar Yachting Center, the Hall of Fame Marina, or the Las Olas Marina. Head to the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina, Pier 66 Marina, or visit the Superyacht Village at Pier 66 South.

Not only offering seven exquisite show locations, guests will also receive exclusive VIP treatments within two one-of-a-kind exhibitions.

A highlight of the esteemed October show is the Superyacht Village. Returning to the exclusive ‘Venice of America’ marina, the Superyacht Village is the perfect place to speak to famed shipbuilders and gaze upon the latest superyachts from around the world. Among the superyachts on display this year are Lurssen’s 72.5m motor yacht Coral Ocean and Feadship’s 62m Sea Owl, with world debuts from the 49.9m Mangusta Yachts’ Mangusta Oceano 50, and Horizon Yachts’ 34m Tri-Deck FD110. The Windward VIP Club, located at the Bahia Mar Yachting Center’s Captain’s Lounge, offers guests a luxurious retreat from the hustle of the show. As a private indoor and outdoor luxury haven with gourmet food options and a premium open bar, VIP guests will receive the most lavish and thoughtful treatment throughout.
