By Emily Dawkins

Tankoa Yachts has announced that the fourth 50m hull in its successful all-aluminium series, M/Y Kinda, has hit the water for the first time. Following her technical launch on Saturday, the innovative, hybrid superyacht has been launched from Tanoka's Genoa-based facilities.

Featuring sporty exterior design by Francesco Paszkowski, Tanoka’s fourth S501 offers a more eco-friendly sailing style. Providing three cruising modes: diesel-mechanical, diesel-electric and full-electric, 50m M/Y Kinda builds on the high-standard of hybrid propulsion seen within the second hull in the S501 model range, M/Y Bintador.

Reducing fuel consumption whilst ensuring a comfortable cruising experience, Kinda’s sustainable nature of hybrid propulsion creates owner's access to even the most protected of areas.

Vincenzo Poerio, the CEO of Tankoa, commented: ‘As our second yacht with hybrid propulsion, this launch confirms we are at the forefront of technological research in order to meet the needs of even the most sophisticated owners. This time we used the MAN / Siemens system and we are very satisfied with the performance in the various configurations.’

Not only boasting an impressive eco-conscious nature, M/Y Kinda is the first in the series to feature a main deck swimming pool. Her luxury interior has also been designed by Francesco Paszkowski, who has created a contemporary space for 11 guests onboard. Presenting a 9.4m beam and 2.4m full loaded draft, the fourth S501 hull will offer a maximum speed of 18 knots.

M/Y Kinda's outfitting will continue in Italy until her expected delivery at the end of April. Construction is also ongoing on the fifth hull in the series, who is scheduled for delivery at the end of 2022. According to speculations, a sixth S501 hull is also in-build.
