Giorgio Armani Designs Italian Sea Group's 72m Admiral
The Italian Sea Group has now unveiled their latest project, the 72m Admiral 'Admiral 72', in collaboration with world renowned designer, Giorgio Armani.
The first renderings of the vessel were unveiled in a private ceremony at the Marina di Carrara Headquarters in Italy on Saturday the 11th of February.
The project was first announced in 2020, as one of two yachts designed entirely by Giorgio Armani; a distinctive, one-of-a-kind superyacht, with the expert touch of an iconic Italian Fashion House.
Over 650 guests were in attendance at the ceremony, including brokers, shareholders, authorities, VIPS and global press, who were delighted to witness Mr. Armani himself make an appearance; joined by Giovanni Costantino, Founder and CEO of The Italian Sea Group.
The vessel is described by her builder as having “large, sharp, geometric volumes that are perfectly balanced with curvier, softer shapes, for an ensemble that is majestic yet dynamic.”
Admiral 72 features expansive glass to conjure the feeling of a seamless transition between her interior and exterior spaces, which can also be adjusted, due to stylish sliding panels.
“This superyacht is the result of an exciting partnership of which I am extremely proud. It is further confirmation of our way of being able to realise unique projects with Made in Italy brands of excellence that share our values”, said Giovanni Costantino, Founder & CEO of The Italian Sea Group.
In terms of her interior, her décor exhibits a relaxed, minimalist aesthetic, combined with refined materials, fine hand-crafted finishes and vibrant colours to achieve a luxurious harmony of design.
“Giorgio Armani is synonymous with timeless elegance and sophistication, and his stylistic vision has also increased our stylistic sensitivity. This new yacht is projected to be positioned as a stylistic benchmark, also given the countless comments and regards we’ve received from various industry players,” adds Giovanni Costantino.
Admiral 72 can host up to 14 guests across seven staterooms, as well as accommodation for 20 crew members. Key highlights on board include a large beach club, a swimming pool towards the aft of the main deck, a private spa and a helipad.
"The sea and design are two of my greatest passions. With this new collaboration, I have extended my idea of furnishing and decor to the nautical world, in which – just as in fashion – aesthetics and functionality come together in a natural and elegant style,” commented Giorgio Armani, Chairman and CEO of the Armani Group.
“This highly stimulating project has allowed me to create customised spaces with Armani/Casa – like made-to-measure clothing – with the same craftsmanship applied to the choice of materials, details and production."
She is expected to be delivered to her owner in early 2024.
