Giorgio Armani Superyacht Regatta Opens Mediterranean Racing Season in Porto Cervo

Organised by the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda (YCCS), the 18th edition of the event welcomed a fleet of 17 superyachts to Sardinia's renowned sailing grounds between 26 and 30 May. Combining competitive racing with a social programme both on and off the water, the regatta has become one of the most anticipated fixtures on the superyacht calendar.

Set against the dramatic backdrop of the La Maddalena Archipelago, participants enjoyed a series of coastal races in the conditions that have helped establish Porto Cervo as one of the world's premier sailing destinations. Day two delivered particularly favourable conditions, with a steady Mistral breeze allowing the fleet to complete a 33-nautical-mile course around the islands while remaining closely grouped for much of the race.

Among the standout performers were the Swan 115 MOAT and the Southern Wind 96 LIBERTY SQUARED, which claimed victories in the Blue and White divisions respectively. However, the event's appeal extends well beyond the results sheet.
