Aside from exploring Antigua’s pristine waters and 365 idyllic beaches, the island in fact offers some of the finest places to indulge the senses on land.

A perfect blend of opulent five-star resorts and exquisite dining options, Antigua provides a world of exclusive luxury for superyacht owners and charter guests looking further than the island’s heavenly shores.

In episode three, and part one of a two-part journey to showcase Antigua’s land-based luxury, we delve into a selection of some of the best resorts on the island: the South-lying Carlisle Bay; the nearby resort of Curtain Bluff; and the North-based Blue Waters Resort & Spa.

‘Antigua is an island of many different varieties of properties, from hotels to restaurants,’ shares Wendy Eardley, Resident Manager at Curtain Bluff. ‘I think what makes it quite unique is that we don’t have chain properties here, they’re all unique, individual sort of one-off properties.’

In conversation with representatives from each hideaway, we uncover the services that make each one so attractive to superyacht guests.

Kevin Phillips, General Manager at Blue Waters commented on the unmatched atmosphere of the popular resort and spa, perfectly positioned for UHNWI’s looking to retreat to the North of the island in luxury: ‘Here at Blue Waters Resort, from the time you enter, you feel a sense of elegance. It’s not over the top, it’s not pretentious, a lot of our guests here would say that it’s understated elegance.’

It’s no surprise that Antigua offers just as special as an experience on land, as it does off.
