Heesen Delivers Luxury 60m LUSINE

By Heather Collier

The 60m Lusine, previously known as Project Falcon, is now ready to welcome owners onboard and take on high seas. The Netherlands-built, ultra-efficient FDHF steel yacht recently underwent a series of intensive tests in the North Sea, reaching the speed of 17.5 knots with acoustic and vibration performance within the required limits. Powered by two MTU 12V 4000 M65L diesel engines and equipped with full tropical air-conditioning, she has a range of 4,200 nautical miles at 13 knots.

With her exterior designed by Omega Architects, she won’t be hard to miss on the water. An eye-catching “bird’s wing” motif visually enhances the Main Deck, Bridge and Sundeck, making her instantly recognisable without distracting from the horizontal sweep of the windows.

With a Gross Tonnage of 1,060, Heesen engineers and craftsmen went above and beyond to develop smart solutions to accommodate each unique request of the owner. She is now the first superyacht in the world to sport the SCR system alongside the V12s MTU engines.

Peter van der Zanden, general manager of design, development and engineering at the shipyard, said: "Thanks to the knowledge gained during the evolution of our steel fleet over the years, our engineering and naval architecture teams easily hit all the targets. Lusine is one of the most complex steel yachts we have delivered to date, but our experience helped us find ingenious solutions and presented a solid foundation for intelligent innovation."

Lusine's bespoke, complex interior is equally tailored around elegance and family lifestyle. Sinot Yacht Architecture and Design and Heesen Yachts Interiors’ collaborative vision came to life with the intent of creating a calm, luxury interior décor that exudes opulence and sophistication. With a stunning combination of rare woods, precious fabrics, and exquisite leathers, it is clear that their meticulous design process lies within the very heart and soul of this intricate vessel.

Every inch of space onboard is light and generous, and can host up to twelve guests in six staterooms, with the owners' apartment on the Bridge Deck aft. She also boasts a touch-and-go helipad for private use, accompanied by an enclosed air-conditioned reception area; guaranteeing discreet boarding for all guests who desire peace and seclusion.

With a separate route system and a sleek, glass elevator that serves all decks, members of the crew can make their way comfortably throughout the yacht at all hours to ensure seamless, quality service without disturbing guests’ relaxation.

Lusine is the first yacht to be delivered by Heesen in 2022 and will be followed later in the year by an impressive collection of custom and semi-custom yachts, all of which will certainly be tipping the luxury scales at no less than 3,458 GT.
